Music
Through all of our differences and distinguishing features, one thing that unites us all is a love of music. People from different cultures and background from around the world will have experiences of music in one way or another.
We all use and appreciate music in different ways, but at the end of the day, we all have it. We hear it everywhere, a simple trip to the shops will result in us hearing music at one point, be it on the radio in the car or actually in the shop, where music is often played in speakers either from the radio or from another source.
Music shapes the world we live in; it influences things far and wide, from country's national anthems to popular culture where the most influential figures in the public eye could be those with the most successful song in the charts.
It also influences how we view the world, with those from particular political and social standpoints having differing tastes in music to those from others (though admittedly there are exceptions). When we are in school we choose our friends based on what music they listen to.
So a world without music would be very different to how we know it. It is unimaginable to conceive a world that is full of silence.
